Elvis has Just Left the Building

Well maybe not exactly Elvis maybe more Bubba Ho Tep but you get the picture. Another Zombie survivor and again this figure is from Hasslefree Miniatures named Bubba, strangely enough, lol. It is a great sculpt and i have to confess a love of Elvis so I had to have to. It said to me Vegas Elvis, no my famous Elvis, so instead of going for the usual white baby gown, sorry jumpsuit, I decided on a black one with white and gold trimmings. I have to admit that I am not totally happy with the resulting finished figure, I think its too dark and I might go back to it at a later date and start again. But for the time being it is good enough to game with.

New Painted Things

I have taken a few days off over the Christmas/New Year period mainly as I have been busy with family and friends like everyone else but now I am back. But before I go on any further I would like to wish everyone a Bloody Great New Year.

Now down to business I have actually painted for figures over the Xmas period and I was a bit shocked. This one is from Hasslefree Miniatures and I loved it and need I had to have her. She is Bunny Boiler Alice and she is wonderful figure, just a pity that my painting standards cannot do her justice. She was fun to paint and I decide that the red hair was a must where the jade dress and the pink bunny finishes her. I have to say I am please the results. I am really pleased with the base and it has that overgrown feel to it.

Yet more Test photos

Yes here are some more test photo of some figures that I have painted. I think I have started to understand how to take photos with it not and after finding the white balance I have managed to get rid of the problem of my photo being yellow when taken indoors. The next thing to work out is the distance and lighting  but I'm slowly getting there. Here are the latest examples.

First up is Snake sorry I mean Cobra from Hasslefree. A wonderful sculpt by Kev White and is good to see someone escape from New York and then LA.

Next up is Lara Croft sorry I mean Eve again from Hasslefree. This is a lovely sculpt.

Next up is Pantsman okay Mad Dog again but this time with the yellowish look to him.

Lastly are a couple of Mark Copplestone's Future Wars range now sold by eM-4-Miniatures which are lovely to paint and again these were painted some 15 years ago.

As the title says here are a couple more photos of some painted figures that I have done. The first one is a banker/civil servant survivor, complete with umbrella and gas mask. This is sculpted but Mark Copplestone from his Future Wars  range he did for Grenadier is the past and is still available from eM-4-Miniatures. Its a lovely figure and something I painted over fifteen years ago. The next one is from Hasslefree and it is a great sculpt by Kev White. Know simply as pants man by my wife and Mad Dog on the Hasslefree website, it is a wonderful sculpt. Full of detail and a joy to paint. He is one of my latest figures I have painted and you can see,hopefully, that my style has somewhat changed over the years. Here there are.

The King and the King of the Welfare State

I have started the Peoples Assault Column's General and I bet you cant see but I have now added a collage scarf to add a bit of colour and character to the figure. Yes I do know that at the moment it is black and in fact its all black, bar the face, but you know what I mean, lol.

Now next to him and not really, okay not at all, is a start of another King or rather the King of Rock 'n' Roll. This figure is from Hasslefree Minis and it is a lovely sculpt from the master Kev White. See I do buy other sculptors stuff, lol. Now I can not decide between Vega Elvis, Bubba Hotep or Black Leather Elvis? I really dont know. I still have not received my Super Dungeon Explore from Warlords and they are not returning my emails, I am sad, lol.
